Welcome, for whatever reason you have come to this website it is our wish that you find here a place of peace and prayer where Christians meet and share what they believe.
Good Shepherd and St John the Evangelist is an Episcopal Church that has served Milford and the Tri-State area for 136 years. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming church where people of every persuasion and diversity can find worship and fellowship. To that end, many of our congregation have journeyed from widely varied backgrounds and found a home here.
In this website you will find a community that is certain of its faith and beliefs living out the Gospel teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. We make no apology for being ‘traditional’ and Gospel driven. It is the mission and life of Jesus that is central to our existence. Because of that belief we extend our ministries to the wider community as he instructed us to do. "Go tell what you have seen and heard…"
Those ministries include outreaches to the poor, the hospitalized, the imprisoned and the marginalized. We have and we will minister to Aids victims, the abused and those who are discriminated against. This church welcomes people of every sexual orientation as brothers and sisters without reservation. Our Gospel is the Gospel of the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount that places love above the legalism of the Old Testament and the human spirit above human judgment.

This church belongs to the greater community of the Diocese of Bethlehem with its leader Bishop Paul V. Marshall and to the world wide Anglican Communion. It is a faith that believes it can trace its origins back to the Apostles and Apostolic Succession. Central to its belief are the great creeds of Nicaea, and that of the Apostles. We are a Sacramental Church, celebrating Eucharist each and every Sunday. We are a community that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit, released by the power of Christ’s cross, to impact our lives and ministry. We are scripture orientated and mandated to be witnesses to the person of Jesus and his salvation in this place.
As a community of faith we strive to develop Holy Habits and to grow in the love of God in all that we do. All who enter the doors of our church will find a family atmosphere, free from conflict striving to bring the joy of the Gospel to one another. Our services each Sunday are at 8am and 10am. Please feel free to attend.
